Advisor to MIDHCO President

Since the beginning of MIDHCO, leaders and managers did their best to identify professional strategies for the Holding. The strategic motto of MIDHCO was “our development starts from the mine”, since mine will lead and supports the production chain. MIDHCO is one of the few successful companies in mining and mining industries in Iran.

Mine will reduce the risks of all down streams. Good locating, production sites next to mine and completing the value chain is decreasing the production costs, transportation costs and environmental issues, also, to increase the competitiveness in local and foreign, markets.

Expedition in new technologic projects was the other strategy of MIDHCO to finance projects and downstream plants. By this strategy the company is making the added value to be prepared for local and international markets alongside developing technical knowhow. At the end, to locate all units in one province eased the management and costs as well.

The state of the art technologies and know how in steel and copper chains are envisaged in operating plants. We have to say that this Holding did a lot to cover the shortage of pellet in the country by building 3 pelletizing plants each with the capacity of 2.5 million tons annually, in less than 2 years.

MIDHCO in steel industry developed its 800 thousand tons DRI and steel plant to produce 1 million tons annually. This factory is active now and exports part of its products due to high quality. The second DRI factory with the capacity of 2 million tons predicted to be commissioned in 2020 and 1.7 million ton of blast furnace and steel plant in 2020. Thus most of the projects for production of 4.2 m.tons of steel and 5.000 tons of Copper Cathod in complete chain will be completed.

MIDHCO has developed mineral activities such as equipping mines extraction and developing transportation capacity for increasing the productivity of the units and to raise the production rate. Exploration is another priority of the company which is followed up. We can firmly say that the quality of our products are the best and we are exporting.

In IMI100 conference, ranking top 500 companies of the country, MIDHCO was awarded as the top export increment company, exporting copper tubes, DRI, iron ore concentrate and Fe Si. We had customers for our pellets.

Receiving Excellence Award, Social Responsibilities Award and knowledge management were other achievements. We are strengthening our competitiveness in international markets by superior technology, lower costs, proper infrastructures and has much followed environmental issues and projects.
