Among MIDHCO’s strategies are many important factors, for instance having updated technology and caring about global trends and health and safety. These factors are being used to identify and assess technology. The MIDHCO environment committee has been established to set environmental policies and guidelines and its members are MIDHCO’s top managers.

Environmental issues are taken care of in project sites and selection of technology is done based on the environmental standards. Each project in its core has an EIA report (Environmental Evaluation) and in all contracts, all environmental parameters should be delivered by designers and builders. All environmental safety equipment such as water, air, soil, sound and energy are included in our plan and has a clear budget. For instance, gas refinery plant, and coke factory use gas (CDQ) for cooling instead of water which results in pollution. In factories in Kerman and near mines, equipment for water circulation and equipment for technologies of energy consumption reduction, dust collectors, and powerhouse for using gas are set.

Direct gas regeneration technology is used to help environmental considerations and producing gas in country. For its improvement in the second unit of steel making factory, production has been increased based on the new technology and at the same time energy consumption and pollution has been decreased.  The latest Canadian technology in the world is called bioleaching and MIDHCO is a pioneer to use it and it is the highest technology in the world regarding gases, water, energy and reduction of transportation costs.
